Course Description

The Revit Power Users course will help you take your skills to the next level. If you are looking to become a BIM manager, or simply want to be more productive, this is the class for you. After attending the course, you will be able to confidently use the advanced features of the Revit, understand the pros and cons of each tool and option, and better organize and manage projects.

The course builds on the Intro to Revit Course and covers advanced modeling tools and techniques. We’ll also cover all the key project organization topics such as design options, phasing, groups and origin points, so you learn the best ways to set up your project. We’ll also spend a full day covering custom family creation focusing on the skills you need to build and manage your Revit library.

Prerequisites
The class is designed for architecture and construction professionals and assumes a working knowledge of the design construction process and how to produce construction documentation. Revit Experience is necessary, previous attendance to the Introduction to Revit course, or 6 months of Revit usage in a professional environment. If you have never used Revit please let us know in advance so we can direct you to courses you should take prior to the class.

  • Classes are 9-5 each day.
  • Small class sizes – a maximum of 10.
  • Snacks and refreshments provided.
  • 45-60 minute break for lunch (lots of options in the local area).
  • Each attendee will get a certificate of completion.
  • Computers will be provided but you can also bring your own if you prefer.
  • Free retakes within 12 months.
  • Discounts on myCADD Revit Families and advanced training.

 Revit Power Users Sign-Up

Revit Power User classes are forming now.

The goal of the Intermediate Revit course is to build upon the foundation Introduction to Revit course, with additional modeling tools, some customized modeling features, and the skills needed to develop custom building geometry which may be required for Revit projects.  We will review major family classifications and discuss in-place families, but focus on loadable component families.  We’ll review methods for creating parametric geometry, and adding intelligence to the family.  We will further explore a variety of additional family types, as well as additional advanced family techniques.  After attending this course students will be able tackle some of the more complex modeling geometries, and content creation. Ideal for architects, designers, and intermediate users of Revit Architecture

Pre-requisite: The class is designed for architecture and construction professionals and assumes a working knowledge of the design construction process and how to produce construction documentation. Revit Experience is necessary, previous attendance to the Introduction to Revit course, or 6 months of Revit usage in a professional environment. If you have never used Revit please let us know in advance so we can direct you to courses you should take prior to the class. Also, a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows.
