Course Description
The Comprehensive Revit Families course will give attendees the skills needed to develop custom building geometry which may be required for Revit projects. We will review major family classifications and discuss in-place families, but focus on loadable component families. We’ll review methods for creating parametric geometry, and adding intelligence to the family. We will further explore a variety of additional family types, as well as additional advanced family techniques. Ideal for architects, designers, and intermediate users of Revit Architecture.

The class is designed for architecture and construction professionals and assumes a working knowledge of the design construction process and how to produce construction documentation. Revit Experience is necessary, previous attendance to the Introduction to Revit course, or 6 months of Revit usage in a professional environment. If you have never used Revit please let us know in advance so we can direct you to courses you should take prior to the class. Also, a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows.


  • Classes are 9-5 each day.
