On this page we will keep track of improvements we would like to see incorporated into Revit Architecture. When a new version of software is released we are frequently asked our opinion. So here is my honest opinion.
Autocad 2007. Awesome!
ADT 2007 is ok.
Kudos to the AutoCAD programmers. The have made significant improvements, particularly in the 3D realm. 3D modeling in previous versions of AutoCAD was challenging to say the least. If you found it challenging to create your geometry, just trying modifying it!! Thankfully that's all changed. The tools to create the geometry are now graphical and intuitive, and modifying the geometry works the same way. Now that's a novel idea. You can now easily draw on the surface of your 3d models thanks to the new tool called dynamic UCS. And if you like that try creating your geometry from a perspective view or just hold your ctrl down while pressing the middle mouse wheel to spin around the model.
